Jerome Avery - Olympic Speed Trainer

Jerome Avery was born in Lemoore, California in 1978 where he attended Lemoore High School in 1997.
Jerome is currently training for the 2012 London Olympics while assisting Paralympics during competitions as well as writing a How To with regards to guide running.
Mr. Avery is new to the Quick Twitch crew and brings with him the experience and dedication to help athletes improve and succeed in their goals. Jerome enjoys being with family and remaining healthy by exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Jerome is devoted to, not only the major, but minor details when it comes to speed and strength training.

1997

Mr. Avery was voted as one of the top 20 fastest high school track athletes during 1997.  Mr. Avery competed with an astonishing 10.54 in the 100-meter sprint in 1997.  After graduating from Lemoore High School, Mr. Avery continued his education and athletics at Fresno City Junior College.  During his attendance at Fresno City Junior College Mr. Avery competed in both the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints.  Jerome Avery ran his personal best time of 10.23 during his first year at Fresno City Junior College.  While attending Fresno City Junior College Mr. Avery along with his teammates won the state championship in the 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay which he anchored on both races.

1999
In 1999 Mr. Avery exceeded his former personal best time with a time of 10.19 in the 100-meter sprint and competed in the Canadian circuit.

2000
In the year 2000 Mr. Avery competently qualified for the Olympic trials in Sacramento, California finishing 15th in the United States.

2002
At this time Mr. Avery made a life-altering decision to move to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California to continue his training as well as gain expert advice from staff, coaches and fellow athletes during 2002.

2004
Mr. Avery trained at the Center to prepare for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.  Mr. Avery proudly competed as a part of the U.S.A. men's relay pool as well as becoming a guide runner for the vision impaired athletes.  Mr. Avery continues to assist with the Paralympics team and has competed with medal-placing athletes at several Paralympic events.

2007
In 2007 Mr. Avery moved to Michigan to become a volunteer coach and continue his personal training under great sprints mechanics coach, Randy Huntington.  Mr. Avery took the training and coaching mechanisms given to him by Mr. Huntington and applied to his daily schedule as well as his current training abilities.  Mr. Huntington coached numerous world record holders as well as gold medalists.  Mr. Avery competed in the European track circuit in 2007 where he placed top three at the competition as well as running a wind-aided 10.01 and 10.07 in the 100-meter sprint.

2008 to Current
In 2008 Jerome followed his heart back to the Olympic Training Center where he qualified again for the Olympic trials for the Beijing Olympics.  During this time Mr. Avery was being led and coached by Dan Pfaff who was the former coach of the 100-meter Olympian Donavon Bailey.  Jerome Avery has maintained his high spirits, hard work ethic and vigorous sprinting mechanics and proper technique style by applying it to his current position as speed trainer with Quick Twitch.  Mr. Avery moved to his hometown area of Central California where he now continues to train for the 2012 London Games.
